January 2nd
Today was almost as uneventful as yesterday. Today was the first day of our fast for the month of January. My husband and I are asking God for direction in our lives this year, health, and prosperity. As for me personally, I want to continue to draw closer to Him.
One thing we are fasting from is television. Our TV has not been on all day. My husband joked about what you find yourself doing when the TV is off. I went to WalMart and bought groceries for our month of no meats and no sweets. This part will be okay for my husband because he already doesn't eat meat.
This is not the first year we've participated in a fast. I find that they are a way to focus more on the Lord and what is really important in life. The last two years have been amazing and I know this year will be even better than the last.
5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
