For those of you that don't know, those are my husband's initials. Yes, he is a third. I think that is so cute. Anyway, enough about my husband initials. We just got back from an awesome mini honeymoon. We didn't take an official honeymoon, so every trip is like our honeymoon.
We went to Charleston, SC for the Spoleto Festival. Friday night we went to a jazz concert on the campus of the College of Charleston. We spent Saturday exploring Charleston. We just walked around and if we saw something interesting we headed toward it. One of our stops was the Old Slave Mart. It was an old slave auction house in the 1800s.
We also walked to the waterfront and enjoyed the scenery. One of the best stops was our lunch at Poogan's Porch. It was recommended by my cousin and one of my sorors. They were right on. The food was AMAZING! After lunch we headed back to the hotel to get ready for Alvin Ailey.
I am speechless, or wordless in this case. The performance was breath taking. I could watch them everyday and never get tired. Of course they performed my favorite Ailey piece, "Revelations." When it was over I turned to my husband and said, "I want to see it again." Next thing I knew they were dancing again. Actually, it was one of the dancers last performance with the company after being in the company for 30 years, and they did the last dance one more time.
We finished the weekend with some shopping and headed home.
Thank you baby for an awesome weekend. I love you.
